Where savings can come from — and how we show them
WaiMAP shows potential savings as a calculation with its scope, price date, exclusions and constraints. Verified savings need a documented comparison with a real project; none is published yet.
Where savings can come from
Route and tower optimisation
Least-cost route alternatives and optimum tower spotting by dynamic programming compared with simple spotting on the same constraints (WaiLineMech).
Access and logistics
Truck routes with vehicle limits, abnormal-load checks and access routes as project assets — fewer surprises in delivery (Logistics).
Cut / fill and materials
Balanced platform levels, best-fit planes and mass-haul optimisation with an exact solver against a greedy haul (Terrain Design Studio, WaiMassHaul).
Automation of repeated engineering
The same engines run on every section, plant or scenario with the same method; measured run times are on the trust page.
Fewer redesigns
Constraints, flood, settlement and data gaps found at screening, revisions compared on the map before they reach the drawing office.
Potential savings — transmission demonstration
Demonstration From the Whitewell NPP – Bulgaria – Germany transmission corridor (demonstration).
- ScopeTower spotting on the three representative 10 km sections (30 km of the 2,418 km route): tower steel, erection and foundations.
- BaselineWaiLineMech simple spotting (equal target spans, angle points from the route)
- Optimised alternativeWaiLineMech optimum spotting (dynamic programming over candidate stations every 25 m)
- Price dateWaiMAP indicative unit rates, 2026 (steel USD 2200/t, erection USD 420/t, concrete USD 180/m³ — EU region; TR section with the TR rates)
- ExclusionsConductor, insulators, OPGW, land / right of way, access roads, crossings, substations, engineering, permits, financing; terrain effects (level ground).
- ConstraintsSame conductor, clearance, tension limits, tower family limits and angle points in both cases; no clearance violations in either.

Verified savings
No verified project comparison published yet
A verified saving needs a documented comparison: the same scope designed or built with and without WaiMAP, with the client's approval to publish. Targets in the 3–15 % range are being tested against documented project comparisons; they are not a result and are not claimed here.
Reserved for approved real project material related to verified savings. No real project material is published here yet; nothing on this page describes a real project.
