CAD / BIM workflow
Two paths to CAD and BIM
Start in the browser with nothing to install, or connect WaiMAP to the CAD / BIM software you already license on your own PC.
WaiMAP processes your files and does not store them. Your images, GeoTIFFs, photos, CAD drawings and IFC models stay on your own disks or your own servers. WaiMAP processes them and returns the results:
- On your computerIFC (up to about 200 MB), GeoTIFF / COG previews and point values, DXF drawings and many imports are read in your browser — the file never leaves your computer.
- On WaiMAP's calculation serverA temporary processing copy exists only while the job runs. It is deleted when the job ends (success or failure) or when you have downloaded the result — within minutes, 2 hours at most. Processed rasters come back to you as downloads.
- From your own server (URL)Give an https link (presigned S3 / R2 / Azure / GCS, WebDAV or plain https): WaiMAP reads the file from there — rasters by range requests, nothing kept. The link is not stored unless you ask WaiMAP to remember it in your project.
- What WaiMAP keepsYour project records: parameters, results and metadata (for example a patch's bounds, coordinate system, source, licence and checksum) — small data that belongs to your account.
- What WaiMAP does not keepYour source files. There is no file storage and no storage quota.
No-install experience Live
Everything runs in the browser and on WaiMAP's calculation server.
- DefineDraw the site, route or layout with the mini CAD (typed assets), or import DXF / DWG / IFC and map the layers to WaiMAP types.
- CalculateEngines for lines, plants, earthworks, drainage, grids, quantities and cost on the same drawing.
- 3DProject 3D: towers with catenary conductors, PV tables, buildings, platforms and point clouds (Pro and above).
- DXF / IFC / reportsDXF R2018, DWG R2000 (LibreDWG), IFC 4.3 and IFC4 for Revit, WHT Exchange v1, PDF / Word / Excel reports.
Professional CAD / BIM workflow In testing
WAI-Revit-Bridge / CAD Bridge: a desktop add-in on the member's own PC, using the member's own CAD / Revit licence. WaiMAP never runs AutoCAD or Revit on a server.
- PairingA single-use pairing code (M-XXXX-XXXX, 10 minutes) links the desktop add-in to the member's WaiMAP account. The relay endpoints are reserved and answer "not enabled" until the bridge leaves testing.
- What it addsNative DWG and RVT round trips in the member's own software, with WHT Exchange v1 as the neutral format.
- LicencesThe member's licence stays on the member's PC; WaiMAP holds no Autodesk licence for members.

Autodesk Platform Services (APS) Automation APIs — Under evaluation Server-side Design Automation for DWG / RVT is being evaluated (cost, data residency, customer consent). It is not available in WaiMAP, and nothing on this site depends on it. Product names belong to their owners.
